 Stewart and Northern Wu Style Tai Ji Mster Li Bing Ci in Beijing.

     Stewart Tai Ji Quan background is initially in Yang Style from approx 1992 to 1996 with Nigel Sutton’s Zhong Ding organisation in the UK. Studying mostly with John Higginson around the Manchester area. I completed the ZD teacher training course during that time.

      From 1997 to 2003, he studied all aspects (hand form, sword/spear/sabre forms, tui shou, san shou, nei gung) of the Wu style TJQ of the lineage of Cheng Tin Hung from Hong Kong under Mr. Fred and Mrs. Pat Basterra. During this time, my studies also included  preparing lesson plans and carrying out teaching at the teacher’s request.

       Until 2002 He was active in competition and had numerous podium finishes including gold medal for Push Hands at the European Championship in 2000 and 2002, as well as gold at the UK Open, Danish, French, & UK Chinese Internal Arts. For hand form gold medal at UK Chinese Internal Arts competition. For spear and sabre form gold medal at Tai Chi Legacy in Dallas. For weapon sparring gold and silver respectively at UK Chinese Internal Arts and Tai Chi Legacy. For form applications gold medal at Tai Chi Legacy.

       The above background together with the teaching and guidance from Grandmaster Li Bing Ci will enable him to continue the Northern Wu lineage in the UK.
